Gett Referrals For Business

Firstly, I believe that the reason small business owners don’t refer to one another is that it’s hard work getting a customer. And if a customer requests something that you can possibly do yourself, you’ll keep the work instead of farming it out to someone who might be better placed to help them.

The second part of my theory is that even if you can’t do the work yourself, you’re only going to refer the customer to someone you know, like and trust and have built up a good relationship with. Let’s face it, why would you refer a customer to someone you’ve only met once or twice at a networking event?

How do you get around this?

Well, if you really want referrals, you need to be thinking about how to build a relationship up with that person and then you need to work at it so that they feel comfortable about working with you and referring their customers over to you.

Certainly, if you want referrals from me, you’re going to need to work a bit harder than just asking me to refer all my customers over to you. I’ll usually give you a start by saying let’s swap website links or would you like to write an article for the newsletter. Then the balls are in your court – you need to work with me to build that relationship up by offering me something in return.

What could you offer me? Well, here are a few quick suggestions:

o You could invite me to a networking group you’re in

o You could send me an article that you’ve seen that you think would be useful

o You could invite me to speak at an event that you’re doing

Do you notice how none of the above are to do with referring customers to each other, but they do help to build the relationship and the more you work at doing this, the more likely I am to get to know you and refer my hard-earned customers over to you.

Unity Through Workshop Teambuilding

You must not forget your hard work and devotion, but at the same time, you must not ignore the ones without the support of whom you could not have been successful. Seeing such an attitude among the people, it is important to organize workshop teambuilding for the people. If you are planning to create a workshop teambuilding, here are some important things that you need to take into account:

  • Select a relevant venue for organizing the workshop. If you desire to make the arrangements off-site, it is necessary to be familiar with the location for comfort and ease. If required, make necessary reservations in advance. Invite people you want to in order to attend the event.
  • Make sure to order all the materials and supplies that are necessary to be there during the workshop teambuilding event. Technological devices, projector, microphone, other equipment, snacks, drinks, etc. are some of the things that you may require for conducting the event conveniently and make the participants feel at ease.
  • It is recommended to begin the workshop teambuilding with an icebreaker. With the icebreakers game, the participants get a chance to work united even if they are unknown to each other. To encourage, giving out prizes would be great.
  • It is like a teamuitstapje (team outing) and the games that are organized in the event does not only foster the feeling of unity among the participants but also entertain them.
  • Based on the number of people, divide the participants into teams having equal number of members and then start the activities of team building.

Business Seminars Can Accelerate Success

Attending seminars and events presents you with the opportunity to take some time out from your business, to take a step back, allow what you’re listening to, to percolate through and to get a chance to see your business from a totally different perspective.

You see, this is something that people so rarely do, and its one that could have such a massive impact for you and your business. The thing is, you are the person who knows your business best, but frequently we’re just too engrossed in putting out the fires, to see why the fires are getting started in the first place.

Taking time out to reflect, take stock, network with like minded individuals in similar businesses, and learn from speakers from stage really can be priceless.

Its what Steven Covey called, stopping to sharpen the saw, as opposed to proclaiming that you don’t have enough time to sharpen the saw, because you’re too busy slogging your guts out with a blunt instrument.

So if you’re serious about becoming really successful in your chosen business, the question really becomes, can you possibly not afford to attend these events.

Training Packages

To help you on your journey towards a lean company Enna has prepared some training packages; since Enna was founded by experts on lean and Kaizen you can be assured that the content of each package was designed to answer every need you might have, in addition to providing top quality content. Thinking about the implementation of 5S, Enna has two 5S training packages available that you might find interesting:

  • The 5S Training Packages, designed to train your employees in the principles of 5S and show them the importance of committing to it in order to achieve full lean transformation across the company;
  • The 5S Office Training Packages, so you can implement lean in all areas of your company, not only the shop floor. Enna has developed a solution so you can transfer the 5S program into different departments of your company, such as marketing, accounting, and engineering.

All the packages contain Facilitator and Preparation Guides, so you can deliver a top quality workshop, a Presentation CD to aid you, 5S and 7 wastes posters to help remind everyone of the principles, a form pack with red tags, and workbooks for each participant, with the basic topics covered in the presentation – so you know your staff will have something to turn to in case of doubt afterwards. If by chance the quantities provided are not enough, Enna has refill packs available for purchase. There’s also a training game, The 5S Action kit, in which your team will be able to exercise their knowledge on the 5S principles hands-on, providing an entertaining and all-around engaging learning experience for your employees.
